Abstract: | The passenger thermal comfort in a car is a topic of integrated approach between vehicular safety newlineand efficiency of the automobile. Accumulation of heat in the passenger compartment of a car newlineparked in open space, causes rise in the temperature up to intolerable level. It leads to the newlineincrease in the waiting time of driver/ passenger at the beginning of the journey. Sometimes, it newlinebecomes fatal for children/pets, if got trapped inside the car compartment due to some unknown newlinereasons. In USA only, average 37 children fatalities occurred during last 20 years from 1998 to newline2017 and in aggregate 742 deaths reported due to this serious problem. These types of vehicular newlinehyperthermia cases were reported from other parts of the world also such as Brazil, middle-east newlinecountries, Australia, India, etc. There is a strong need of government regulations, design newlineamendment, public awareness campaign and technological modifications in the passenger cabin newlineor throughout the design of the vehicle to alarm and avoid this type of fatalities. newline |
