Abstract: The study intends to explore the happiness among secondary school teachers in relation to their organisational climate, teacher efficacy and professional ethics. The sample of the study comprises of 500 secondary school teachers of government and private schools of Punjab. The quantitative data was collected with the help of Happiness Scale (constructed and standardized by investigator herself), Organisational Climate Scale (Pethe, Chaudari and Dhar, 2001), Teacher Efficacy Scale (Kumar, 2012) and Professional Ethics Scale for Teachers (Kaur and Sharma, 2015). For qualitative data collection, Happiness Interview Schedule was prepared by the investigator herself. The results of the study showed that secondary school teachers possess a moderate level of happiness. The study revealed that happiness of secondary school teachers was found to be significantly positively correlated with their organisational climate, teacher efficacy and professional ethics. Furthermore, the study reported that happiness of secondary school teachers does not have significant difference with respect to their gender, locale and academic stream. However, happiness among secondary school teachers differs with respect to their type of school. Qualitative data analysis reported that teachers opinion about happiness differs. The most dominating nature of happiness is defined by having positive emotions. Further it is found that happiness is the combination of different factors such as positive emotions, harmonious relationships, satisfaction and self-fulfillment. It is also concluded that negative thoughts were found to affect the happiness of people. Happiness was found to be of utmost importance to live a happy and prosperous life. newline
