Abstract: BACKGROUND: Cardiovascular disease (CVD) refers to a group of illnesses that have to do with the heart and the blood vessels. Some of these illnesses includes such as high blood pressure, stable angina, unstable angina, myocardial infarction and sudden cardiac death. AIM OF THE STUDY: To prevent or reduction of modifiable risks of CVDs among adults. SUBJECTS AND METHODS: The study was conducted using a true experimental pre-posttest design. Totally 1800 employees were screened for CVD risk using modified Framingham 10 years risk score and 300 participants were selected as participants for this study. The data was collected by the tool which was prepared by the investigator with expert s guidance and opinion. RESULTS: The comparison between the lifestyle variables score in pre test and post test within the experimental group revealed that a statistically a very high significant score of t= 36.05 at plt0.001 was observed, whereas there was no significant difference in the control group. The calculated independent s test was t = 23.38 at plt0.001 revealed the very high significant difference between experimental and control group. The calculated Karl Pearson correlation coefficient of r=-0.47(SBP), r=-0.42(DBP), r=-0.41(FBS) and r=-0.45(PPBS) showed a statistical significance at plt0.001. There was a positive moderate correlation observed between knowledge versus lifestyle and observed negative moderate correlation between knowledge versus bio physiological parameters and lifestyle versus bio physiological parameters. One way ANOVA F-test/t-test revealed the association of selected demographic variables like age, gender, educational status, monthly family income, type of family, type of work pattern and marital status. CONCLUSION: The study concludes that selected interventional package is an effective lifestyle intervention to reduction of modifiable risks of CVDs among adults living with cardiac risks. Adults living in urban community with cardiac risks can be prevented because of this selected interventional package.
