Abstract: The present research work involves the experimental investigation of the newlinemechanical, electrochemical, corrosion and TB of Al-Si metal matrix newline(MM)fortified with xZrC nanoparticles content (x = 0, 5and10 wt. %) by Powder newlineMetallurgy (P/M) technique. Cylinder-shaped pieces of 16 mm diameter were newlineequipped utilizing the MA of Al-12Si-xZrCfine particles. The essential fine newlineparticles were green compressed pieces by utilizing appropriate die set and newlinepunch assembly on Compression Testing equipment having the limit of 2 MN. newlineCompacting load was applied step by step, and it was 1.1 GPa for all newlinecompressed pieces. Molybdenum disulfide was utilized to thinning out on the newlinepunch, the die and the butt. The sintered compressed pieces preliminary density newlineas 89% of theoretical density was achieved by precisely monitoring the newlinecompacting pressure applied. newlineSintering was completed in an argon gas circled muffle heater at a newlinetemperature of 550 °C maintaining for 2 h. The sintered compressed pieces newlinewere ventilated inside the heater to reach the atmospheric temperature. Density newlineof the sintered compressed pieces was gotten as 89% of theoretical density. The newlinedensity determinations were done utilizing the Archimedes rule. newlineWear tests were led utilizing pin-on-plate device. Sintered compressed newlinepieces were machined according to the ASTM G99. Contact surfaces were set newlineup by granulating against SiC paper, trailed by cleaning utilizing acetone. For newlineAl-12Si-xZrC Nano Composites (NCs), the chosen parameters on wear test newlinewere applied loads (10, 20, 30 and 40N), Sliding Distance (SD) (500, 1000, newline1500 and 2000m), steady sliding speed 2.618 m/s with a steady track diameter newline100 mm. newlineThe Wear Loss (WL) of Al-12Si-xZrC NCs was mainly influenced by the newlineinput parameter wt. % of ZrC, load and SD. Wear loss was increased by means newlineof an increase in SD. But, the WL was decreased in the circumstance of a newlineminimum load. However, as soon as the load was increased, the WL values are newlinelikewise increasing. Further, an addition in the ZrC wt. % resu
