The first chapter is devoted to a brief discission newlineon continuum hypothesis, Boundary layar theory, magneto hydrodynamics, flow newlinethrough porous media, constitutive equations of the fluid models and governing newlineequations of the fluid flows and literature review. The study of flow of viscous and newlineviscoelastic fluids is of great interest because of its various applications in science newlineand engineering disciplines. newlineThe chapter-2 of the thesis deals with Viscoelastic Hydro magnetic flow between newlinetwo porous parallel plates in the presence of sinusoidal pressure gradient . newlineThe fluid considered in this chapter is a viscoelastic fluid and the linear momentum newlineequation accounts for two additional body forces arise due to interaction of newlineapplied transverse magnetic field with conducting fluid in motion and flow through newlinea porous medium in a bounded domain besides the inherent elastico viscous forces newlinewith a fluctuating pressure gradient. The closed form solution determines the newlinevelocity distribution within flow domain and skin friction, force coefficient and volume newlineof flow per unit width of the channel.
