Every time the SCAT questionnaire is answered about fifteen minutes before the performance, and their levels of anxiety is noted .than along with this their heart rate is also noted by checking the Carotid pulse at the neck region. The technical aspect each batsman cited as an area for improvement was used as a dependent variable. Performance was judged by taking the percentage of successful execution of a particular stroke. Paired t test with one tailed probability was utilized for the analysis of the data achieved and it was found that there was significant decrease in the anxiety levels, and heart rate prior to the performance, and also a significant increase in the performance levels of the batsman. newlineCONCLUSION- the study proved that the imagery technique is a very effective method to control pre performance anxiety and also enhance performance. newline newline |
