Abstract: | The emphasis placed by more and more companies on corporate social responsibility symbolizes the recognition that prosperity is best achieved in an inclusive society newline By Tony Blair newline newlineCorporate Social Responsibility CSR had been a paradigm shift for organizations which they have adapted It has evolved from being fashionable for the companies when it was seen as a philanthropic activity to the present day where it has become part of the business as organizations are expected to be more socially responsible This change was necessary because of the change in environment in which the companies are operating and also because of the realization among the organizations to be more socially responsible and knowing the fact that concentrating efforts on maximizing profits alone will not be sustainable for the organizations Considering the political economic social and environmental issues being faced corporates have a role to play to some extent as they help to the economic growth of the society and nation thus influencing the political and social issues CSR require organizations to give back to the society environment consumers all the stakeholders and society in which they are operating newline newlineThe term CSR gives an opportunity not only to the organizations but to all the employees to contribute to the humanity It gives a sense of pride satisfaction and builds trust when the organization that an individual is associated with does something good for the social cause like educating girl child contribution in preserving the ecological disbalances among others CSR gives opportunity for the organizations to think about the humanity and work towards its betterment This research deals with what is the effectiveness of CSR activities that is undertaken by financial services organizations for this research NBFCs were considered newline newlineThis research work is conducted with the help of primary data; the tool for survey was a structured questionnaire prepared on the basis of literature review The questionnaire has some statements based on |
