Abstract: | The development in technology has continuously helped in modernizing various fields newlineof information science. Security of communication is an important issue in our daily newlineactivities during advancement of technology. Security should be considered because newlinemost sensor network possesses various critical tasks in confidential missions and hence newlinerequired security. The sensor nodes communicate over short distances with low newlineprocessing power, energy, and limited memory. Therefore, the attacker can attack these newlinenodes in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Basically, WSN is a wireless network, newlineconsists of a large number of sensors that are densely deployed, small in size, newlinelightweight, and portable. In WSNs, the nodes are distributed randomly and there is no newlinecentralized infrastructure. Also, the nodes are not always at a one-hop distance. So, newlinewhen two nodes want to communicate beyond the limit of their transmission range, newlinethen routing protocols are essential. The key aim of routing protocols is to discover and newlinemaintain routes between arbitrary nodes within the network.
