Abstract: The present study is an attempt to study impact of medium of instruction on newlineAcademic achievement and Vocational aspiration of Secondary school students. Secondary newlineEducation is an intermediary link between primary and University education but newlineunfortunately it is the weakest connecting link in education systems in India. newlineThe following are the chief aims of Secondary Education: newlineand#61623; To produce ideal citizens for fully embedded with strong national and social feelings newlineso that they shoulder their civic responsibilities and duties as ideal citizens of India. newlineand#61623; To enable the students so that they possess productive capacity to render their services newlineto country. newlineand#61623; To ensure physical, mental and social and emotional development in their personality. newlineand#61623; To develop a sense of discipline, ethics and quality of leadership in them. newlineSecondary education is the stage of education following primary and middle levels newlineof education. Secondary education includes the final stage of completing high school or newlinesecondary education in the form of qualifying the Board Examination. The next stage is newlinesenior secondary or higher education imparted in both the schools and colleges in India. newlineSecondary education is characterized by transition from primary education for minors to newlinetertiary, quotpost-secondaryquot, or quothigherquot education for adults. Depending on the system, newlineschools for this period or a part of it may be called secondary schools or high schools. newlineAdolescence is an important phase of life between childhood and adulthood which newlinebegins with the beginning of puberty. It is the stage of life where many changes take place newlinephysically, mentally, socially, emotionally and also culturally, the students in this age are newlineconcerned about their future and this is the age where students have to take very important newlinedecisions of their life regarding vocational choices and discipline choices which decide the newlinefuture course of life. newline
