Abstract: Women of today are in several ways different from the women of yesterdays. They seek social and economic independence and are prepared to take up risk for the same. To change the social and economic structure and to up lift the disadvantaged section of the women, greater emphasis is needed in entrepreneurship development. Women are still expected to assume primary responsibility for home and family and are subject to a double burden of work, especially when the children are young. The major objectives of the present study are to find out the socio economic background of women entrepreneurs, analyse their resource management practices, identify the nature of entrepreneurial activities, assess the work place facilities and explore factors that enhance the entrepreneurial activities. The study was conducted in three phases namely survey, assessment work environment and case study. Through purposive sampling 800 samples were selected and the data collection using an interview schedule. The study are a selected was the City Coimbatore in the state of Tamil Nadu. The managerial abilities among women entrepreneur and their work stress, work activities were recorded. The background information, details of the enterprise, problem faced, and ways to overcome were identified and recorded .Hundred samples were selected for the, assessment work environment, health problem etc. Five samples were selected for case study based on the primary data. The case study is mainly on problem faced, management of resources, stress, encountered and means to overcome stress among women entrepreneur. This study helped the selected women to overcome problems faced and also improved better communication. Such studies could help to motivate women entrepreneurs in different activities. This study can be helpful to the government officials, policy makers other governmental and non-governmental agencies which are functioning to help towards development to women entrepreneur and also help women becoming entrepreneurs to be successful women in futur
