Kinematic and Anthropometric Variables Affecting Uttar Pradesh Cricketers in Cover Drive

Abstract

The aim of this study was to develop a structural equation model (i.e., a confirmatory technique that analyzes relationships among observed variables) for young cricketer s performance based on selected kinematic and anthropometric variables. A total of 48 subjects ( boys ) of mean age of 17.31 ± 1.09 years; 55.91 ± 10.81 kg body mass; 176.57 ± 10.90 cm height were evaluated. The variables assessed were the: (i) shoulder joint; (ii) elbow joint; (iii) wrist joint; (iv) hip joint; (v) knee joint; (vi) ankle joint and; (vii) hand surface area. All paths were significant (p lt .05).
