Abstract: English language has been identified as a global language, and everyone desired to be mastered in English language. Proficiency in English language proved to be advantageous in many forms. We could get a better career, we could interact effectively, and we get to know communicate across the world wide. There are many reasons for which people wants to be master in English language. newlineScope of English language is not only restricted to the formal sectors like business, media and education. But English has gained popularity in less formal social sectors also. English language has become a media, to have access to the information from all over the world and it is also a key for professional success. English has become very much part of educated middle and upper class people. newlineLikewise other countries of world. English language has become popular in India also. It has acquired identity here. English is a medium of communication for the transactions in written form in professional relationship between foreign and Indian companies. English has all four skills i.e. Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing. Writing is an important skill yet it is neglected in language classroom. newlineWhen we focus independently on writing skill, we become able to identify the problems faced by the learners in learning writing skill. For learning writing skill, we have to learn more rules, conventions and linguistic features. newlineAccording to Harmer, writing is a more complex skill in comparison to other skill of the language. Constraints of genres influenced the writing; these elements are presented in learning activities. Number of different factors is considered by the students, when he/she writing within a certain genre like they must have the knowledge about the style of the genre, and the context in which their writing would be read and who would be the audience. newlineWriting has gain popularity and the need of teaching writing has been felt. Since, writing has become the part of the syllabus in teaching of English.
