Abstract: | World is superb but issues are common, these day worldwide middle age women are confronting a common issue that called as corpulence. Stout is the cause of all illness indeed youth ladies toss life since of this issue. Numerous reasons for obesity for middle age women like child birth, after of the calculate family circumstance, stress etc The purpose of the study is to determine the impact of fitness training, yogic practices and combined training on selected physical and psychological variable among obese women. For this study, sixty (N=60) obese women residing in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India were selected randomly as subjects. They were further divided randomly into four groups of fifteen each i.e., (N=15). Group-I underwent Fitness Training, Group-II underwent Yogic Practices, Group-III underwent Combined Training and Group-IV was acting as Control. The Experimental Groups underwent respective training periods of three days per week for a total of twelve weeks. The dependent variables selected for this study were Body Mass Index (BMI), Flexibility, Cardiovascular Endurance, Self-Confidence and Stress. All the subjects were tested prior to and immediately after the period on the selected dependent variables. The data obtained from the Experimental Groups and Control Group before and after the experimental period were statistically analyzed with t -test and Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA). Whenever the F ratio for adjusting posttest means was found to be significant, the Scheffe s Post hoc test was applied to determine the paired mean differences. The level of confidence was fixed at 0.05 for all the cases. The results of the study showed Experimental Groups namely, Fitness Training Group, Yogic Practices Group, and Combined Training Group had significantly improved in Body Mass Index (BMI), Flexibility, Cardiovascular Endurance, Self-confidence and Stress. |
