Abstract: | Boron dipyrrromethene which is popularly known as BODIPY. It is a class of newlineorganic fluorophore possess outstanding properties than other organic fluorophores. newlineBODIPY have high fluorescence quantum yields, high molar absorption coefficients, newlineinsensitive to solvent polarity and are electrically neutral. They possess good chemical newlineand photo stability in solid as well as solution states and also highly soluble in most of newlinethe organic solvents. All these amazing properties of BODIPY dyes enabling to be newlineapplied in wide applications, such as molecular bio labelling, cell imaging, chemical newlinesensors, two photon absorption. These remarkable properties and application make the newlineBODIPY excellent probe for use in biological applications. newline newline |
