Abstract

Land is a finite resource. It is one of the fundamental resources provided by nature to mankind. newlineLand acts as platform on which mankind performs all his activities for survival. Land is the newlinehome of all other animals and plants also. Abilities to think and manipulate the resources for newlineeasy use separates mankind from all other creatures. For his survival man engages himself in newlinedifferent activities. In the early phase of his life to the present phase, man has passed through newlinedifferent stages of development. In the initial stage, his life depended on food gathering and newlinehunting. Later on, he learnt the art of growing crops and rearing animals bringing about a drastic newlinechange in man-land relations. With the passage of time, these livelihood earning activities have newlinebecome more diversified in the form of different industrial and service sectors. Most of these newlineactivities are dependent on nature and are land bound .
