Abstract: | Automatic Evaluation for various types of questions such as close ended and open-ended have been studied extensively by researchers. Automatic evaluation of close ended questions is successfully achieved and implemented in various areas by researchers. Research in the field of automatic evaluation of open-ended questions is still going. newlineIn INDIA, various organizations and universities offer around more than 68 courses. There are millions of students enrolled under these various courses in universities or organizations. At times for practical courses it becomes difficult for universities to maintain the quality of teaching, to manage assignments, to manage exams and to achieve the learning outcomes because of huge number of students. Due to rapid changes in technology, education have transformed from traditional classes to online learning or E-learning. E- learning not only support online classes but also manages attendance, assignment, online examination, automatic evaluation and other academic activities. This research focuses on automatic evaluation of open-ended questions. Automatic evaluation of open-ended questions is not straight forward like close-ended questions. Open-ended questions contain multiple types of questions such as mathematical problem, long answers, short notes, programming question, circuit design questions and many more. These questions can be solved in multiple ways. It becomes challenge for a person to evaluate different answers given for such questions automatically. The objective of the study entitled Automatic Online Evaluation of Electronic Circuit Designs is to evaluate analog circuit design automatically and to generate reference test cases automatically for evaluation. The study mainly focuses on analog circuit designs along with components such as power source, resistor, capacitor, diode and ground. newline |
