Abstract: Guided surgery offers a higher rate of precision and accuracy when compared to newlinefreehand technique and so the following study aims to evaluate and assess the newlineaccuracy and precision of different CAD-CAM designed surgical guides. A dental newlinemodel with a single missing tooth was scanned and the corresponding CBCT of the newlinepatient was utilized for this study. CBCT of the reference model was taken and then newlineused for implant planning and surgical guide fabrication via 3 softwares: Implant newlineStudio, 3Shape; Bluesky Plan, Bluesky Bio; Meshmixer, Autodesk Inc. 10 implants newlinewere placed in each group which was then digitized and superimposed onto the newlinereference data and the deviation was measured using Geomagic Control X reverse newlineengineering software. Kruskal-wallis test was used to assess the statistical newlinesignificance since the data was found to be non-parametric. Angular Deviation and newlineApical Deviation showed statistically significant values and so post hoc analysis newline(Bonferroni- adjusted Mann Whitney U test) was performed. The present study newlineshowed that Group - 1 (Implant Studio, 3Shape) designed surgical guides showed newlinethe least implant deviation when compared to Group - 2 (BlueskyPlan, Bluesky Bio) newlineand Group - 3 (Meshmixer). Further clinical trials needed to be carried out to assess newlinethe deviation of implant position when compared to the initially planned position newlinewithin the oral cavity. Within the limitations of the study, we can conclude that the surgical guide newlinedesigned by Implant Studioshowed the least implant deviation when compared to newlineBlueskyPlan and Meshmixer. Out of the 2D and 3D deviation measurements done newlinebetween the implant placed by the 3 surgical guides, there is significant difference newlinein the variables of Angular Deviation and Apical Deviation between the 3 groups. newlineThe comparison of Bucco-Lingual Deviation, Mesio-Distal Deviation and Coronal newlinedeviation between the implants placed using the surgical guides designed by 3 newlinedesigning softwares shows no statistical significance newline
