Abstract: | Aim: To evaluate the effects of different finishing and polishing techniques on newlinethe surface properties, chromatic properties and cell viability of monolithic newlinezirconia. newlineMaterials and Methods: 96 disks of monolithic zirconia of diameter 1cm and newlineheight 1cm were prepared and divided into four groups: Group 1- Control, newlineGroup 2- Polished, Group 3- Glazed and Group 4- Polished+Glazed. Colour newlinestability and surface roughness were evaluated by immersing the samples in newline3 different solutions: Artificial saliva, coffee and coke and by putting the newlinesamples in a toothbrush simulator and evaluating the and#916;E value for newlinecalorimetric changes Ra value for surface roughness. For cell viability, newlinefibroblasts were cultivated and placed on the samples and stained with newlineacridine orange and DAPI stains, and they were merged in the live cell newlineimaging system. newlineResults: Polished zirconia showed the highest colour stability, followed by newlinepolished and glazed zirconia, glazed zirconia and control group (plt0.05). newlinePolished zirconia showed the lowest surface roughness, followed by polished newlineand glazed zirconia, glazed zirconia and control group (plt0.05). Polished newlinezirconia had the highest number of fibroblast cells, followed by polished and newlineglazed zirconia, glazed zirconia and control group (plt0.05). newlineConclusion: Polished zirconia showed the best results regarding colour newlinestability, surface roughness and cell viability newline |
