Career Aspiration and Self Discrepancies Among Higher Secondary Students a Study with reference to Parental Aspiration

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to find the effect of parent s career aspiration on newlinethe students. A study was conducted by descriptive survey method A data was newlinecollected from 180 students studying in XI standard in New Delhi and 42 parents newlineusing separate questionnaire. Data was analysed by appropriate statistical tools like newlinepercentile; Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and t-test . Two Null hypothesis were tested newlinein the study.1)There in no difference between psychological pressure among students newlinehaving similar career choice and students having different career chloice than their newlineparents (perception of students).2) There in no difference between self discrepancy newlineamong syudents having similar career choice and students having different career newlinechloice than their parents (perception of students) newline
