Abstract: The present study intends to explore the novels of Chinua Achebe, Patrick Modiano, and Laxman Mane s autobiography through a discrimination perspective. This study was undertaken to understand the concept of discrimination and the place of selected writers in world literature. The exploration of two novels of Chinua Achebe, two novels of Patrick Modiano, and an autobiography by Laxman Mane is studied with different perspectives. The selected works are Things Fall Apart and Arrow of God by Achebe, The Search Warrant and Missing person by Modiano, and Upara by Laxman Mane, studied in detail to achieve the aims and objectives of this study. Discrimination is a worldwide concept in all countries and cultures. The discrimination is not only in India but it has crossed boundaries of all countries with its different forms. The present research depicts the forms of discrimination on different land with a different culture. India is a country of diversity where we find different castes, religions, festivals, traditions, and customs. newlineThere is a caste hierarchy in our country therefore in comparison to other countries we feel a peak of discrimination in our country. The present research work focuses on the social, religious causes for caste discrimination in India. Upara by Laxman Mane is the best example of class and caste conflict in India. An Outsider is a representative work in the Indian context. Later on, I came to know as we have casteism other countries have racism. Racial discrimination in African culture as Chinua Achebe talks about in his different novels about the Igbo society, their problems, and their lifestyle. And it can be found in French literature as the Nobel Laureate Patrick Modiano talks about the plights of Jews in his novels. newlineVI newlineA researcher has the intention to find out the similar causes of racial discrimination in different counties and different forms of discrimination. And the objective is to suggest remedies for those problems and to eradicate discrimination and uplift the lives of people. The
