Abstract: | This thesis mainly focus on synthesis and structural analysis of Cu(II) , Ni(II), Co(II), Fe(II), Ru(III) and Rh(III) metal complexes with Chloroquine, Metronidazole, Ciprofloxacin, Isoniazid and chloramphenicol as ligands. Here also Anti-microbial and anti-fungal activity against Gram +ve , Gram ve bacteria and fungal spore. Chapter one gives overview of introduction of coordination chemistry with examples, Importance of metal ion, national and international status of study. It also looks at metal used in medicine and background to some other applications for transition metal complexes are in therapeutic purposes. Chapter two gives detail about material used in work, standardization methods utilized in work along with instrumentation used in analysis and purpose of anti-microbial, anti-fungal activity in detailed. Chapter three give detailed outline about preparation methods used in preparation coordination complexes along with culture preparation which used in anti-microbial/anti-fungal activity. Chapter four gives idea about structure elucidation on the basis of analytical data. Elemental analysis give idea about composition of coordination complexes, electronic data help on geometrical elucidation, IR data helps in assigning lone pair electron donor on ligand and XRD data helps in crystal structure determination of coordination complexes. Chapter Five investigates potency of drug metal complexes against Gram +ve , Gram ve bacteria and fungal spore along with standard drug molecule. Chapter Six provides a final conclusion and an overall summary of the entire research work as well as identifying key areas for future work. newline |
