In the context of the sustainable development goals (SDG s) proposed by the United Nations newline(UN), happiness at an individual, country and global levels is a criterion set to be achieved for peace, harmony and success. The goal of happiness is relevant even in the context of organizations. Research purports that success leads to happiness and happiness causes success. Happy individuals are intrinsically motivated, which in turn raises their productivity. Seminal literature on happiness recommends that there cannot be a sufficient predictor of happiness, newlinehowever, there can be a combination of several characteristics and traits that contribute to predicting happiness. Prior studies suggest that happiness directs a good quality of life and good quality of life is the cause of happiness. The purpose of the current study was to identify the antecedents of happiness and quality of life in Indian employees. Happiness and quality of newlinelife are rooted in the broader domain of Positive Organizational Psychology (POP), and hence, to justify the rationale of our research, we explain the need to conduct this study through the explanation of POP and the associated disciplines that discuss the agenda of happiness at the workplace. newlineThe current study aimed to explore the inter-relationships between job crafting, mental newlinetoughness, cultural intelligence, time perspective, knowledge hiding, authentic happiness and quality of life. To empirically examine the research objectives, we adopted a descriptive research design. Descriptive designs are suitable when a study aims to underscore and explain the relationships between the selected study variables. Surveys are used to gather data using newlinestandard questionnaires. For this purpose, data were collected from (n = 428) employees from various multinational companies located in cities of Hyderabad, Bengaluru, New Delhi, newlineMumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and Nagpur. Standardized questionnaires were adapted from newlineexisting literature and administered on the selected sample.
