The above two aspects may help us to understand whether the environmental NTM newlinecolonize/ infect the respiratory tract of the people, which means that in immunecompromised newlineindividual they can cause disease. It is also intended to correlate the newlineprevalence of pulmonary tuberculosis in the villages from where the environmental newlinesamples yield NTM and note if there is any difference from the villages from where no newlineNTM were isolated as data on the prevalence of pulmonary tuberculosis is already newlineavailable with us. This would indicate whether NTM interfere with overall prevalence of newlinetuberculosis. newline
