dc.description.abstract | Stress contributes to development of many diseases and consequently newlinedecreases quality of life. As stress is unavoidable in present day life style, it newlinemust be managed effectively to improve the quality of life. Research on stress newlinemanagement by alternative therapies is in progress. Vestibular stimulation by newlineconventional swing is one of the choices for stress management, which is newlineamalgamated in Indian tradition. Vestibular stimulation by swing is a simple, newlineaffordable and adoptable method of stress relief which can be incorporated newlineinto everyday life style. Though the relationship between vestibular disorders newlineand stress are well reported, attempts to use vestibular stimulation as a stress newlinealleviating tool are inadequate. Further, few available studies, supporting newlinebeneficial effect of vestibular stimulation in stress management have applied newlinevestibular stimulation for short duration. Hence, longitudinal studies are newlinerequired to explore therapeutic effects and to ensure safety and efficacy of newlinevestibular stimulation.
