dc.description.abstract | The growing interest for the enlargement of the renewable energy sources owed newlineto less environmental pollution creates challenges for the grid operators. Virtual newlinePower Plant(VPP) is a novel concept that aggregates the small distribute energy newlineresources and can take part as a single power plant in the electricity market. The newlineintermittency of renewable generation can be reduced using a virtual power newlineplant as it uses a small DG and storage system as a backup. As a core energy newlinemanagement system, VPP will optimally dispatch the power among the newlineconsumers and to the grid. So, the research work mainly aims at developing the newlineoptimal dispatch strategy in several ways for the different market strategies. All newlinethe methods applied to aspire the maximization of the profit of the aggregator newlinein VPP. The methods applied to meet the objectives can be summarised as newlinefollows. A prototype model of source management is developed for maximizing the newlineprofit of consumers in a residential application. IoT-based load management newlineprototype model is developed to maximize the profit of the residential newlineconsumers. The maximum profit of the VPP is evaluated in the Day-ahead (DA) newlinemarket by the optimal scheduling of DERs using the Beetle-Antenna search newline(BAS) algorithm. The locational marginal price-based optimal siting of DERs newlineis used to maximise the VPP profit. PLC and IoT-based optimal dispatch model newlineof VPP is developed for the unified electricity market. The implemented optimal dispatch strategy shows higher accuracy with high newlinespeed and can maintain less time complexity compared to the other existing newlinemethods. Moreover, the developed strategy is enriched with a detailed newlineexplanation of the market scenarios by considering several constraints, uncertainties of the renewable generation. The research work comes out with newlineencouraging results for various scenarios of optimal dispatch strategy. | |
