Abstract: | In terms of critical discourse on development, the social scenario of countless villages in the subcontinent needs to be reflected in sociological empiricism. While the fulfilments of basic rights of the individuals become a prime condition of the growing civilisation, inequalities embedded in the social structure create contradictions in the social system and its functions. Shelter is the social right of the individual since birth. The idea of development originates in concept and critically moves into a mechanism, a process which challenges social stability. Generally, development means an event constituting a new stage in a changing situation or the method of change.1 Development is implicitly planned as something positive or desirable. When referring to a society or to a socio-economic system, Development generally means improvement, either in the general situation of the system, or in some of its part. Development may occur due to some planned action carried out by single agents or by some authority pre-ordered to achieve progress to positive circumstances in both.Development is a process that is caused by sustainable progress, growth, positive change or the accumulation of physical, economic, environmental, social and demographic components. The idea of development is for alteration in the livelihood and standard of life of the people and the formation or extension of local regional income and service opportunities, without damaging the assets of the environment. newline |
