Coordination chemistry has evolved as a fascinating area in current research activities in newlineinorganic chemistry. Coordination complexes show diversity in their structures depending on newlinethe metal ions and the denticity of the ligands. The presence of nitrogen and oxygen donor newlineatoms on the ligand has been established to enhance the coordinating possibilities of ligands newlinewith metal ions. Thus the chemistry of ligands containing nitrogen and oxygen donor atoms newlineis an interesting research area. In recent years an intensive investigation of the coordination newlinechemistry of Schiff bases has been interesting theme of research due to their interesting newlinecoordination properties and diverse applications. Also the chemistry of hydrazones has newlinereceived considerable attention due to their vast field of applications. A great deal of attention newlinehas been focused on transition metal complexes of hydrazones due to their applications in newlinebiology, medicine and industry. newline
