Abstract: | There are number of areas in which a valid feasible model is of great importance. In the long term planning for a growing community it is desirable to earmark some areas suitable for industrial activity and some others for residential use with a view to minimize the pollution load in the residential complex. But many of the physical phenomena in nature with special reference to boundary layer flows associated with suspended particulate matter. newlineA good understanding of two-phase boundary layer flows is very much essential to study the boundary layer characteristics such as impingement on the wall to estimate skin friction coefficient, particulate velocity and density variation on the surface etc. newlineIn view of the above we have taken up for suitable investigation of axi-symmetric jet mixing compressible and incompressible flow on consideration of volume fraction and Brownian diffusion in the present thesis. newlineCHAPTER - 1 This is an introduction chapter. It covers different interactive terms due to the presence of suspended particulate matter in the carrier fluid. Towards the end of this chapter we have discussed different mathematical models of the problems taken up in the present thesis. This chapter has been closed with the Crank Nicholson Implicit method and Gauss s elimination method to solve the governing equations. newlineCHAPTER 2 This is a literature review chapter. Initially I have studied fundamental aspects of two phase flow, one dimensional flows, two dimensional flows and three dimensional flows. At the end I have studied boundary layer |
