Abstract

The proper identification of Swarna Makshika, justifying the Grahya laxanas as per Rasagranthas was not attempted in the earlier studies. Either the Iron pyrite was put in use or even if the copper ore i.e. Chalcopyrite was used, that does not justify the considerations of Rasagranthas, as clearly the presence of minute percentage of Gold in Swarna Makshika is advocated in Ayurveda prakasha and also by many of the authorities. So, in the present study the Chalcopyrite which was collected from a gold mine called as Auriferous Chalcopyrite as it fulfills the basic prerequisite (a tone of Auriferous Chalcopyrite ore contain 0.6 gms of gold) and the ore is found to sustain all grahya laxana to conform the Genuine Swarna Makshika made use in this study. newline
