Abstract: RA is an inflammatory autoimmune disorder caused due to the unregulated Th1 newlineimmune response. Helminths are known for their immunosuppressive activity and they newlineinduce pronounced Th2 immune response in the host. The immunomodulatory and newlineimmunosuppressive properties of the helminth parasites can be translated to explore newlinethem as effective therapeutics for the immune dysregulatory disorders. Hence, in the newlinepresent study, we hypothesize that the identified filarial proteins will have the antiinflammatory newlineand immunomodulatory activity in vitro and further will be able to newlineattenuate the clinical status in the experimentally mBSA-induced RA in mastomys newlinethrough skewing of the immune response towards Th2 type. Thus, the central newlinehypothesis can be considered under the following sub-hypothesis covering all the newlineessential components: newline
