Abstract: The biggest number of poor inhabits in South Asia where the leading percentage of its newlineshare is in India (Arunachalam, 2011). India has been registered as one among 119 newlinecountries where people reside with need of food. According to the Global Hunger newlineIndex 2017, India dwells in 100 positions out of 119 countries recorded by newlineInternational Food Policy Research Institute, Washington, USA (Hossain, 2017). newlinePoverty is the foremost predicament in the development of India because it has an newlineeffect on health, education, living standard, household, dignity of life, shelter of the newlineBelow Poverty Line People. On the other hand, India sports a growth in GDP of 8 to newline9 percent. It is hard to believe that India ranks 66th in the list of 88 countries in the newlineHunger Index of world. Approximately 50 percent of its children suffer from newlinemalnourishment and 75 percent of its women undergo from anemia (Arunachalam, newline2011). According to the 11th National Development Plan of India, more than 300 newlinemillion people are reported to be poor in India. Rural economy depends on agriculture newlinewhere rural development augments Indian economy which ultimately decreases to the newlinepoverty. However, there are several countries that are experiencing ongoing food newlinescarcity and the trouble of distribution. As a result of this, prevalent and persistent newlinehunger persists among considerable number of people. Due to outcome of food newlineinsecurity people undergo malnutrition and hunger which consequences the term newline stunted growth . Besides this, it is very disadvantageous in cases of pregnant women. newlineHowever, different ministries in central government as Ministries of Health and newlineFamily Welfare, Agriculture, New and Renewable Energy, Women and Child newlineDevelopment, Science and Technology and Tribal Affairs (Ramadeep, 2013) are also newlineemployed in the implementation of different plannings for the development of rural newlineareas. newline
