Abstract: | newline In the deregulated power system environment the transmission loss plays an newlineimportant role. Both its allocation and reduction impact a lot on economic consideration. newlineFurther, transmission pricing based on least and fair loss allocation predominates in fixing newlinethe power contracts. newlineTherefore, this thesis focuses on three strategic points under deregulated power newlinesystem environment. Firstly, to make a thorough investigation on presently employed loss newlineallocation methods and finding their drawbacks and subsequently formulating a fair and newlinejustifiable loss allocation methodology. Secondly, to implement a cost effective loss newlinereduction method along with the proposed loss allocation method to investigate its newlinerepercussions on individual loads as well as the overall system. Thirdly, to present a least newlineloss power contract mechanism for deregulated power system market. To realise these newlinestrategic points, efforts have been made as: newline1. A novel analytical review of active power flow tracing is carried out for the two test newlinesystems IEEE-14 and IEEE-30 to know the exact flow of power in the common newlinetransmission lossy lines. Proportional sharing method along with th |
