Abstract: The development of sensors is a superlative illustration of how science and technology impacted our lives. Following the advancements in sensors, the creation of electrochemical sensors became a significant field of interest. The sensors proposed in the present work have demonstrated noticeable sensitivityS and selectivity for the detection of organophosphorus pesticides (OPs). The first chapter provides a brief introduction of various graphene derivatives and their use in the fabrication of sensors for detecting OPs. In chapter 2 details of the experiments carried out and techniques used have been described. Chapter 3 and 4 outlines the fabrication of graphene-based biosensors by utilizing acetyl cholinesterase (AChE) and hemoglobin (Hb) as biological recognition elements to provide selectivity towards OPs in beverages and vegetables. Biocompatible polymers in these chapters have offered excellent film forming capability as well as provided surface for immobilization of enzymes. In chapter 5, 6 and 7, we have designed PdatN-dopedRGONS, MIPs based on graphene and ICO decorated RGO nanocomposite all non-enzymatic sensors for OPs. Their ability to mimic enzymes in different ways has imparted excellent performance for sensing approach with detection limits obtained lower than the prescribed safe level (Maximum residue limit). All the designed sensors show excellent response for real time applications. newline
