This study is an attempt made to find out a method for safe natural newlinedelivery to primi gravid mothers through yoga practice. The growing body of newlineresearch suggested that pregnancy yoga has an impact, by increasing maternal newlinecomfort, reducing labor pain, and improving the birth outcome. newlineThe methodology adopted for the study was Quasi experimental research newlinedesign. 260 Primigravid mothers in the gestational age of 20-22 weeks newlinewere selected as samples, 130 in each group (Yoga and control). The sampling newlinetechnique followed was purposive sampling. Samples were selected based on newlineinclusive and exclusive criteria. The outcomes were assessed in two parts; all those who had normal newlinedelivery were grouped under one category, and all other types of delivery in newlinethe other. The data were analysed by Kolmogorov D statistics .The findings newlinerevealed: there were significant differences in almost all outcomes when newlinecompared with the control group, and also based on the level of performance newlineof the individual Asanas. The result of the study signified that more mothers newlinein the Yoga group had normal delivery with better labour outcome, thereby newlinepromoting the bonding between the mother and the child, in the initial stages newlineof the new born life. An integrated approach to yoga during pregnancy is safe. newline
