Abstract: Among the hemodialysis people one of the most common newlinecomplications are muscle cramps, hypotension and poor quality of life. Muscle newlinecramps can occur anywhere in the body, but common in calf muscles, feet, newlinetoes, thigh and abdomen. Almost all individuals complain of muscle cramps newlineand hypotension during Hemodialysis. These symptoms are managed with newlinenormal saline infusion, simple calf massages and even by temporarily newlinestopping the ultrafiltration till cramps go off and the blood pressure is restored newlineto normal. Some of them are prescribed, creatinine preparations regularly for newlinepreventing muscle cramps. In hemodialysis unit it has been observed that, newlinemany individuals show complaints of leg cramps, fatigue, nausea and newlinehypotension. In this, majority of the people complained about leg cramps and newlinehypotension during dialysis. It is a prioritized problem and may be newlinemisinterpreted as cramps of neurological problems, stroke episodes which in newlineturn leads to fear, anxiety and restricted follow up to avoid the painful newlineepisodes of cramps during hemodialysis.
