Changes in these domains also have a major newlineinfluence on this entire dynamism. The topic of maintaining a balance between work newlineand personal life has been a hot one in recent times. This is a topic that has further been newlinefueled by the consideration of the roles of the change of women in the current times. newlineThe labor market has enhanced considerably for the women from all ages, yet women newlinehappen to be participating big time into the functions pertaining to caring which goes newlineunpaid at most of the times (Anitha and Maheshwari, 2014). The change that has crept newlineinto the demographic structures of the society has also affected the employment patterns newlineall over the world which have affected the 21st-century reality. Much opposite to have newlinean unending amount of leisure time, most of the working professionals of the current newlinetimes are trying to multitask and handle as many responsibilities as possible in the newlinecurrent times amidst their ever increasing work pressure (Poomagal et al, 2014). In the newlineface of this new reality, we see that changes for the workplaces and also the workforces newlineof the current times must have altered and transformed practices of work. The newlineemployers must also bring alteration in their expectations as well. The age-old belief newlinethat work happens to be the top priority for the employees is no longer a viable theory newlineto follow and implement. newlineThe various phenomenon s of new technologies, globalization and that of newlinebusiness restructuring happen to create new challenges for the age-old work practices newlinethat have been followed in the paid work domains. They are also creating new newlinechallenges for the individuals, their families and the households as a whole. Only until newlinerecently it was believed and especially in the context of the richer countries that the newlinehours of operations and productivity is distressing
