Abstract: This thesis is entitled A Study of Myths in Keralodaya . Keralodaya, by Dr. K.N Ezhuthachan is a unique modern Mahakavya written in Sanskrit. The poet has made a good attempt to present on a wide canvas the cultural, poetical and social history of Kerala against a National and International background. Thus, Keralodaya is a poetical document of the history of Kerala and its culture. What really K.N Ezhuthachan has done is that he views history not as a pile of incidents but as a flow of incidents towards a better situation. In fact K.N Ezhuthachan like a clever weaver who makes clothe, used poetry and history the wrap and woof of his composition and that is why the Mahakavya Keralodaya still remains with luster. newline
