Employee engagement is the result when employees are treated well newlineand rewarded. Opportunity for development, advancement and participation also help employees newlinebecome engaged. The study explores meaningful relationship between employee engagement newlineand one of the important developmental measure career development. Career development newlineemphasizes holding a sequence of positions during a career by an individual. They can be newlinepursued internally with the same employer or externally among various employers. This research newlineis specifically undertaken in context of the manufacturing organizations. newlineDuring the last several years, many studies have been carried out on employee engagement in newlineIndia by academicians. The studies have so far covered many factors of engagement leaving newlineaside the process outcomes like career development. Therefore, the need for the present study is newlineto explore linkages of employee engagement to career development. newlineThe coverage of the study includes studying nature of employee engagement and career newlinedevelopment and relationship between the two, including the causal relationship. Some newlinedemographic variables like experience, age, qualification, gender and income effects on the newlinerelationship have been studied.
