Being a convenient, cordless, hand-free, safe, reliable, and suitable for all weather newlineconditions, wireless power transfer (WPT) system has been fetched to the forefront newlinefor charging Electric Vehicles (EVs). Although resonant inductively coupled WPT newlinesystem has been designed and developed for wireless powering/charging of EVs but a newlinecomprehensive elucidation is extremely important to withstand non-ideal practical newlinecharging scenarios without any deterioration of optimum power transfer which is a newlinemajor concern. Therefore, the research interest has been laid to illuminate the design newlinemodus operandi of resonant inductive link for maximum power transfer that holds the newlinepromise for future wireless charging. In-depth analysis, simulations using equivalent newlineelectrical circuit models as well as experimental measurements have been carried out newlinethrough which an effectual WPT system can be intended for practical EV charging. newlineAn inclusive correlation between the performance parameters of the WPT systems newlinehas been established and justification regarding the RIC-WPT system as an newlinealternative viable solution in the charging field has been outlined. A meticulous newlineinvestigation has been conducted to unveil the impacts of functioning parameters newlinesuch as coil configuration, separation air gap including vertical and horizontal coil newlineoffsets, coupling coefficient between coils, driving frequency as well as electric load newlineon wireless power transfer process. A comprehensive topological analysis has been newlinecarried out to elucidate the series-series (SS) topology as the most suitable topology newlinefor designing a doable resonant WPT system corresponding to maximum power newlinedelivery capability. It has also been ventured that rather changing the other design newlineparameters the maximum power transfer still can be maintained only by appropriately newlineconsidering the impedance matching, quality factor of the coils, electric load and newlinecoupling coefficient. The corroborated experimental and simulation results with newlineproper illustration will be helpful in providing design strategi
