Thesis provides introduction about the silicon, tin, silanes, silatranes and stannatranes with their role in day to day life and emerging trends in chemistry. The click methodology followed for the synthesis is also explained briefly. An overview of the other synthetic routes followed in the literature and their impending applications in various fields have been discussed concisely. Further, chapter wise Benzothiazole derived silane and its applications. Pyrimidinamine based Chalcone appended silatranes and their applications. Schiff Base modified pyrimidinamine functionalized silatranes and their applications. Benzimidazole based NTB linked azastannatrane and azasilatrane and their comparative studies. newline
