dc.description.abstract | The aim of the present work was to get insight into the nuclear structure of 131,135La nuclei through static nuclear electromagnetic moment measurements employing TDP AD technique. These nuclear electromagnetic moment measurements are model independent unlike transitional moments. The almost pure configuration of odd nucleon in these nuclei gives direct information about the nature of its coupling, alignment and the shape of nuclei. The study was carried out by recoil implantation of excited nuclei into proper host materials depending on the type of measurement. The information of the nuclear structure was established by the measurement of two important nuclear properties, i.e. g-factor and quadrupole moment. The g-factor measurement has established the nature of the participating nucleons in forming the particular state. The shape of the nuclei and the variation of the deformation with angular momentum and neutron numbers is investigated. newline | |
