| Abstract: | Liquid crystal is referred as curious state of matter and its impact on modern technology has been profound because of its unique properties. Careful selection of structural moieties gives desired liquid crystalline materials with improved properties, which allowed further exploration and better understanding of the molecular structure-liquid crystalline property relationship. newlineThe thesis deals with the studies on structure property relationship in aroylhydrazone based liquid crystalline compounds.
