Green nanophytotechnology approach for the fabrication of metallic nanoparticles is a recent research newlinearea in pharmacological, industrial and environmental science. Green nanoparticles synthesized using natural newlinebio resources and embedded with bioactive secondary metabolites having immense therapeutic values act as newlinenon-toxic, environmentally benign, target specific particles with enhanced bio efficacy. In this new era, design newlineof bimetallic nanoparticles (BMNPs) have attracted many researchers owing to the superior synergistic effect, newlineselectivity, stability, scalability and wide range of applicability of BMNPs in all the commercial fields. newlineBimetallic plasmonic AuatAg nanoparticles were successfully synthesized with salt of Ag/Au and aqueous leaf newlineextracts of Alternanthera sessilis, Amaranthus polygonoides, Amaranthus dubius, the aqueous latex extracts of newlineArtocarpus heterophyllus and Mimusops elengi. The bio-reduction of Au3+ and Ag+ ions was attributed to the newlinewater soluble phyto chemicals. The physio chemical, surface properties of BMNPs such as formation, surface newlinefunctional groups, surface charge, particle size, crytallinity, shape and size, elemental composition and surface newlineroughness were characterized by UV-Vis, FT-IR, Zeta potential analyser, DLS, XRD, FESEM,TEM, EDS and newline3D profilometer analyses respectively. In vitro anti-oxidant, anti-bacterial and cytotoxic activities of the plant newlineextracts and their AuatAg BMNPs were assessed by DPPH free radical scavenging, Agar Well diffusion and newlineBrine Shrimp Lethality Assay methods respectively. Remarkable bio efficacy results were observed for the newlinebiogenic bimetallic NPs than their corresponding parent plant extracts. Bio inspired synthetic fabrication of newlinewater repellent hydrophobic surfaces of plant extracts and their AuatAg bimetallic NPs were prepared by newlinecoating with methyltrichlorosilane polymer on glass substrates in order to explore the hydrophobic, anti-icing newlineand anti-corrosive characteristics of the biomimetic surfaces.
