In this thesis, we propose an advanced brushless dc motor (BLDCM) drive for low cost and high performance electric propulsion system in electric vehicles (EV s) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEV s). The project includes comparison of three different controllers and development of PI, PID and fuzzy Based digital controller for BLDC motor . The project involves literature survey of three different controllers applicable to constant speed control. The project involves development of Brushless DC motor drive system along with control system for speed and current has been presented using MATLAB / SIMULINK. The stator current of the BLDC during step change of reference speed is controlled by a rate limiter for the reference voltage at DC link. This paper presents a fuzzy logic control of an in runner brushless dc motor with axial flux based on hall effect sensors implement the all control scheme. A simplification of the model in three phase conduction mode of the brushless motor is developed. Finally this paper is to develop effective control strategies to improve driving dynamics on the mechanical dynamic study of propulsion system. The proposed control strategy stabilizes the wheels forces (speeds) through control of brushless DC motor drive (BLDC). For stabilizing the 2 wheels and structural advantages that BLDC motors are connected directly to the tires by improving the rotor speed. The chart of ann vector control and basic principle of ann control strategy were analyzed. The theory of ann based on reactive power with BLDC motor was proposed. The drive system of ann based on active power, torque ripple, dc voltage, power factor using BLDC motor was designed. The simulation result was test the validity of field weakening based on reactive power with BLDC for Electric Vehicle Application. This paper introduces non-electrical input based artificial neural network (ANN). Pulse width modulated (PWM) control of the voltage source inverter (VSI) using DC link voltage (Vdc) controller is used to control the speed of the BLD
