Abstract: | The demand of modern day science and technology has tempted newlinescientists to synthesize and grow several new varieties of crystals. newlineThe requirement for better, cheaper and larger single crystals has driven newlineextensive research and development and this has brought the attention newlinetowards the field of crystal growth. As a result the requirements of crystals newlineare expanding day by day. Always there has been a necessity of growing newlinegood quality crystals for various rapidly developing inter disciplinary field with newlinea wide scope for basic research and promising industrial applications. newlineThe understanding of intermolecular non-covalent interactions in crystal newlineengineering of organic solids has influenced the concepts of supra molecular newlinechemistry. newlineIt is well known that Aniline s derivatives possess inter and intra newlinemolecular interaction as well as hydrogen bonding due to its polarity and and#960; newlinecharge transfer. The strong intermolecular interactions present in the grown newlinecrystal gives the notable vibrational effect. By taking into consideration of all newlinethe above, aniline and its derivatives which act as an organic acids or bases newlinein the formation of large variety of hydrogen bonded complexes is taken as newlinethe subject of interest. Based on this scientific background it is intended to newlinegrow crystals of aniline with various acids. A highlight on the significance of newlinethe structure of grown crystals has been discussed in this work. newline |
