dc.description.abstractAgeing is associated with decrease in the postural stability due to the newlinedecrease in the coordination between the sensory, motor and vestibular newlinesystems. Stimulation of the vestibular system has been reported to be newlinebeneficial in the management of postural stability in the elderly people. newlineFurther, vestibular stimulation has been reported to reduce cortisol levels newlinethereby reducing stress. It also improves the cognition levels. Hence, newlinestimulating the vestibular system not only helps to improve the postural newlinestability but also lower the stress levels of the individuals which would newlinetogether help in improving the quality of life.
