Evaluate the Effectiveness of Video Assisted Teaching Programme on Selected Respiratory Problems Interms of Knowledge and Respiratory Status Among Workers

Abstract

ABSTRACT newline newlineA study to evaluate the effectiveness of video assisted teaching programme on selected respiratory problems in terms of knowledge and respiratory status among workers in the spinning mill was the primary aim of this study. Conceptual frame work based on modified Florence Nightingale Environmental theory was adopted. Non probability purposive sampling technique was used to select the 400 samples for the study. The pre test tool used for this study was to assess the level of knowledge on selected respiratory problems by using structured knowledge questionnaire on selected respiratory problems and assess their respiratory status which was the observational checklist to assess the level of symptoms of respiratory Problems. The findings showed that there was no significant association with demographic variables except for age, residence and years of working experience. The study concludes that one of the first duties of the professional is to educate the masses not to take medicine. From the results of the study, video-assisted teaching programme on selected respiratory problems was effective in improved the knowledge and respiratory status, reduced the symptoms of respiratory problems among workers in the spinning mill. newline
