Effectiveness of Life Skill Training Program on Bio Psycho Social Parameters Among The Adolescent Girls

ABSTRACT newline newline The present study was a school based study aimed to assess the life skill and to provide education on life skill intervention to improve the Bio-Psychosocial health of the adolescent. The objectives of the study were to determine the effectiveness of life skill training program on bio-psychosocial parameters in the following aspects; knowledge on adolescent health and nutrition, BMI, self-awareness and empathy, critical and creative thinking skills, communication and interpersonal skills, decision making and problem solving skills, coping with stress and emotions, to identify the relationship among the bio-psychosocial parameters and to associate the selected background variables of adolescent girls with bio-psychosocial parameters. A quantitative research approach was used to assess the effectiveness of life skill training program on bio- psycho social parameters among the adolescent girls. The comprehensive intervention of life skill training program is found to have a positive impact on bio-psychosocial parameters of adolescent girls. newline
