Abstract: | Healthy citizens are the efficient workforce of a country. They newlinecontribute significantly to the economical growth of a country and play an newlineactive role in grooming healthy children and thus sustain the economy for newlinegenerations. In this research study, the demographic profile of women newlinerespondents was done which will highlight the profile of the women newlinepopulation in Nemili Taluk. The research design is Descriptive in nature and newlinethe sampling followed is Quota sampling. The data was collected using a pre newlinetested structured questionnaire from 568 respondents who were above 18 newlineyears newlineAnalysis on the risk factors like age, awareness, history and hereditary newlinefactors, initiated the respondents to be categorized into clusters, high, newlinemoderate and relatively low risk respondents. 139 respondents were at high newlinerisk, 184 moderate and 245 at relatively low risk. Health consciousness was newlineassessed and 431 respondents were clustered into low consciousness and newline137 into relatively high health consciousness group. newlineBased on all the above findings and discussions suitable newlinerecommendations have been made to engage in a holistic approach to newlinemanage NCDs. The results of the study will be very useful to the policy makers newlinefrom preventing the selected NCDs to turning into an epidemic. Engagement of newlinecorporates, private and NGO s towards the cause has also been mentioned. newline |
