Abstract: This study related to a Trust Based Security Framework (TBSF) to newlineeffectively characterize both device behavior and user behavior through a newlinemodel in IoT. The device trust and user trust were computed using fuzzy logic. newlineThese trust values were used to design secure routing, secure cluster head newlineselection and trust-based access control system. Initially Trust Aware Device newlineAccess Control System (TADACS) was designed and implemented newlinesuccessfully to address the device-to-device communication security. The newlinecluster head calculated the trust value of the device by applying fuzzy logic newlineand assigns different access rights to send, receive, drop and forward to the newlinedevices. In TADACS, data from IoT devices are securely routed and newlineforwarded to the base station. In the next level, Trust Aware Cluster Head newlineSelection (TACHS) using Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to newlineIdeal Solution (TOPSIS) was proposed to select cluster head as secured one. newlineFurther, Trust Aware User Access Control System (TAUACS) has been newlineintegrated to detect the malicious user, based on the user trust value. Access newlinedecision has been designed by combining static user attributes, device newlineattributes and trust value of the user. newlineFor analysis of network performance, our approach of TBSF is newlinecompared with one of the widely used existing system Fuzzy approach to newlineTrust Based Access Control (FTBAC). It is evident from the simulation results, newlinethat network performance has been improved in a better manner in our newlineapproach. newline
